AI Video Playbook

By budget

The exact stack to use at free, about 10, 25, 50 and 100+ USD a month, what it gets you and what to skip.

If you are testing AI video for the first time, the best stack at about 25 USD is Dreamina Basic monthly plus Kling Standard monthly, with auto renew turned off, topped up with the free daily credits from Google Flow and Dreamina. Everything else in the pipeline (images, voice, music, editing) can stay on free tiers until you publish commercially.

Prices checked on 15 Oct 2026. Clip counts are estimates from official credit tables for 5 second 720p clips; real counts drop with retakes (see Pricing).

What you get: 660 Kling credits, about 22 silent or 14 with audio Kling 3.0 clips (5 s, 720p), plus watermark free 1080p and commercial use. Total with voice is about 13 USD.

Alternative: Google AI Plus (7.99 or 4.99 USD, reported by third parties) adds 200 Flow credits a month, about 20 more Veo 3.1 Lite clips, and limited Omni Flash. Pick it if you prefer Veo over Kling.

Skip: the Kling weekly plan. It costs 1.49 USD per 100 credits, against 1.06 USD per 100 on monthly Standard. Four weeks give you about 400 credits for about 6 USD, while one month of Standard gives 660 for 6.99 USD.

Subscribe to Dreamina Basic, monthly

187,200 VND for the first month (Vietnam price), 4,161 credits, no watermark. This is your Seedance 2.5 budget for hero shots. The app shows the credit cost before each generation.

Subscribe to Kling Standard, monthly

6.99 USD for the first month, 660 credits. Use it for action shots and for anything Seedance refuses.

Turn off auto renew on both, right away

Dreamina renews at 390,000 VND and Kling at 8.80 USD. Cancel auto renew on the day you subscribe. Kling states that monthly plans can be canceled anytime. Before you cancel Dreamina, check in your account that the credits stay usable until the end of the paid month.

Use the free daily credits first

Draft in Google Flow (50 credits a day) and Dreamina (120 credits a day) before you spend paid credits. Paid credits are for final takes.

Keep the rest of the pipeline free

First frames from Dreamina credits, voice from ElevenLabs Free, music and effects from Freesound or Pixabay, editing in CapCut. Add ElevenLabs Starter (6 USD) only when you publish something commercial.

What you get: about 22 silent or 14 with audio Kling clips, 4,161 Dreamina credits for Seedance, and about 150 free Veo 3.1 Lite clips a month from Flow (estimates).

Alternative: Google AI Pro (19.99 USD, reported) with 1,000 Flow credits, which is about 100 Veo 3.1 Lite, 50 Fast or 10 Quality clips. It is the other subscription most often recommended at this level. Pick it instead if Veo is your main model.

Skip: aggregator plans, the Higgsfield trial (it needs a card and renews into Plus), Suno Pro, any upscaler.

First month prices renew at full price

Both plans in this stack are about half price for the first month only. If you forget to cancel, the second month costs 390,000 VND plus 8.80 USD. See Avoid traps.
